Steven Mead reporting live from the 164th British Open

Steven Mead will be at Symphony Hall, Birmingham tomorrow (Saturday 10 September) to hear the 164th British Open Championship unfold. The former Desford Colliery and CWS Glasgow euphonium star has previously adjudicated this prestigious competition, and will once again be listening to every band as he follows Peter Graham's Triumph of Time score.

Steven will be publishing his live commentary throughout the day via our twitter platform @BBWmagazine. So if you're unable to be at Symphony Hall to hear the best bands in Britain (and further afield) battle it out for the most coveted title in banding, or if you want to know what Steven thought of your performance, you can follow his expert opinion here.

Christopher Thomas will also be at the Open for Brass Band World and 4brasrest.com, and his extensive retrospective of the event, complete with photographs courtesy of Ian Clowes, will be published in our next printed edition. Chris will also be providing live commentary at 4barsrest.com where interviews throughout the day will also be available. Subscribe to Brass Band World here.
