Band of the Kings Division on parade

Tomorrow (19th July), the band of the Kings Division will be parading with the 2nd battalion, Duke of Lancaster's Regiment in Barrow, exercising their freedom of the city. The parade will begin from the Holker Street Army Reserve Centre at 1100, marching to the Town Hall.

On Thursday (21st July), they will be on parade once again, this time in Haslingden beginning at 12 noon, on Regent Street. The band will make a stop at the War Memorial, for an inspection and salute, then carry on to finish in St Peters Avenue.

The Band of the Kings Division's third event this week, will take place on Saturday (23rd July),  at "Preston Pals" war memorial at Preston station. This begins at 1045, and is a special event to mark the hundredth anniversary of the first major action for D Company, 7th Battalion the Loyal North Lancs Regiment at Bazentin-le Petit on the Somme.
