Brass in Concert draw announced

The organising team of the Brass in Concert Championship has confirmed the draw for the 2016 event, to be held at Sage Gateshead on Sunday 20 November in association with Yamaha, Banks Group and British Bandsman.

Also present were representatives of Sage Gateshead operational departments, whose help and support is essential to the running of the event.

Speaking to BB on behalf of Brass in Concert, John Woods commented: “In this the 40th year of Brass in Concert, we are delighted to have our strongest ever international element, with competing bands from The Netherlands (Brass Band Schoonhoven), Norway (Stavanger) and the USA (Dublin Silver). It will be a great pleasure to welcome these fine bands to Sage Gateshead and we are sure that the audience there will take the opportunity to hear them in their individual concert performances on the Saturday, which are all free of charge, as well as in the contest.”
