Details released for IBBSS 2022

The 2022 International Brass Band Summer Schoool (IBBSS) led by Black Dyke Director of Music, Prof Nicholas Childs, will take place at the impressive Swansea University Bay Campus and looks forward to hosting delegates from around the world from 31 July - 6 August.

Delgates will have the opportunity to work with Richard Marshall, Tom Hutchinson, Chris Turner, Owen Farr, Gary Curtin, Dan Thomas, Brett Baker, Matt Routley and of course, Nicholas Childs, who told BBW:

"It's great to be able to welcome people back. The IBBSS experience is always memorable and this year delegates can choose what they want to do and at their own pace - either individually, as a small group or just by being part of the massed bands. It's about exploring new skills as well as improving existing ones, but all underpinned by the enjoyment of the music making and an inclusive, supportive environment."

Professor Childs added: "There'll also be plenty of fun too, from quiz nights to our own take on Yorkshire Day and Swiss National Day, all at our new Swansea Bay venue in the heart of Wales."

There are still a few places left for those wishing to attend, so visit the IBBSS website to find out more.
