Dutch Open Brass Band Championships 2021
Last year, due to the measures taken by the Dutch government concerning COVID-19, the organization of the Dutch Open Brass Band Championships (DOBC) and Groningen Brass Experience was forced to cancel the events for 2020 and postpone both events till June 2021.
Due to the strict regulation in the Netherlands and abroad to limit the spread of COVID-19 most rehearsals have stopped. Despite this situation seventeen bands have subscribed for the Dutch Open Brass Band Championships. The organization is very pleased with the great interest in this event. The participants come from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The maximum number of participants has been reached and registration is now closed.
Since vaccinations against COVID-19 have begun, the organization is confident that it will be able to organize this international event in June 2021. The organization hopes to make a definitive decision on the 1st of March.
