RPO Trombones Launch Bootcamp

After the success of their courses last year, the trombone section of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has announced a new weekend course on the 13th and 14th February 2021. This course is open to players of all abilities: whether you’re a student, an experienced semi-professional or a keen amateur. The weekend is full of live events and centres on the fundamentals of playing – for example: sound, breathing, articulation, legato – the real building blocks of great trombone playing.

Each LIVE session will be around an hour long and will be recorded for you to access later at your leisure; participants will have access to these recordings for 3 months after the weekend. Furthermore there will be pre-recorded content, including Matthew Gee’s guide to designing your own Daily Maintenance Routine and a short concert performed by Matthew Gee and Josh Cirtina to conclude the weekend.

The entire weekend is fully online to be experienced from the comfort of your own home! Don’t worry, this course is not just for orchestral players - it is for trombonists of all disciplines – the basics are all the same! The cost of this weekend is £29.99 - follow this link for all the details, the schedule and other courses: https://ultimate-trombonetraining.teachable.com/p/back-to-basics
