Astley to host free Brass Day

Astley Youth Band will host a free online 'Brass Day' later this month on Saturday 24th October. The band will host seven different sessions catering for a full range of playing abilities from beginner to advanced, children and adult players. There will even be a session for parents with hints and tips on how to best support their children.

There is an impressive line-up of tutors, including: Ewan Easton MBE, Principal Tuba with the Halle Orchestra, free-lance trombonist Jon Stokes, Arlene McFarlane trombonist and music educator and Glyn and Helen Williams from the Cory band.

The free day is open to everyone and spokesperson Helen Minshall is keen to welcome as many people as possible stating, “Read the details about each session and then sign up for the ones you want to attend using the Google form on the website.The free day is open to everyone!"
