Vote for your IBBCC Winner


The five finalists have been announced for the 2020 International Brass Band Composer Competition. Selected from 92 entrants, by the panel of judges, James Curnow, Dr. Liz Lane and Paul Hindmarsh, the finalists are: Rebecca Lundberg, Marcus Venables, Robbert Vos, Morten Jonas Wallin and Andy Wareham.

The Brookwright competition, the brainchild of composer, arranger, graphic designer and journalist Andrew Wainwright has received global attention with entries from 14 different countries. The standard of work submitted has been exceptional and a ‘Highly Commended’ has already been awarded to Morris Harper (age 15) for his piece, ‘Spring Dance’.

The public is now encouraged to listen to the five finalists through 'follow the score' videos via the following YouTube links:

The videos are currently anonymous and the identity of each piece will be revealed with the announcements.Votes can be cast by simply ‘liking’ the work of your choice. The video with the most likes by 6.00pm UK time on Thursday 1st October will be awarded a 'Public Commendation Prize'. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by the judges.
