The World Rejoicing

Morthanveld Publishing Ltd are delighted to have been appointed as sole distributor of the performing material for Edward Gregson’s new European co-commissioned work, ‘The World Rejoicing’. Jointly commissioned by the British Open Brass Band Championship and the National Brass Band Championships of Belgium, The Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland, it will be used as the test-piece for each competition, commencing with the British Open in September 2020 and concluding with the Norwegian Championships in February 2021.

Together with the organisers of the competitions in all five countries, the publishers have announced the dates for the release of the performing materials for this work:

Study scores will be available to purchase online from www.morthanveld.com/product/edward-gregson-the-world-rejoicing/ and www.worldofbrass.com from Saturday 25 April 2020.
World of Brass holds the sole rights to sell study scores on their trade stands. Attendees at each of the five participating competitions will therefore also be able to purchase these on the day.

Conductor’s Scores will be available exclusively online from www.morthanveld.com from Saturday 25 April 2020. Performing materials (i.e. parts, or full sets of scores and parts) will be available to purchase exclusively from morthanveld.com from Monday 1 June 2020 (for the Norwegian Championships from 15 June 2020).

Please note that until 7 February 2021 (following the 2021 Norwegian Championships) parts will ONLY be available to bands competing in the commissioning contests. In addition the rights to the premiere performance in each country have been assigned to the commissioning competitions. Bands are respectfully requested to observe these rights.
