Welsh Regional Championships

The Welsh Regional Championships will be held this weekend in the brand new venue at Swansea University's Great Hall. 40 bands will make the trip to Swansea. The Championship section consists of 7 contenders with Tredegar Town Band as the defending champion. Two bands, in addition to the seemingly unstoppable National Champions Cory, will qualify for the Royal Albert Hall. The winner of the Welsh Regional Championships will also qualify for the EBBC 2021 in Malmo, Sweden.

David Hirst and Alan Morrison will make the all important decisions in the top section which takes place on St David’s Day (Sunday 1st March) immediately following the fourth section which commences at 10am. Saturday’s events are also not to be missed with the Third, Second and First Section contests again beginning at 10am.
