Bandstand campaign continues in Todmorden
The Todmorden bandstand, built in 1914, was given Grade 2 listed status by Historic England in December last year after it faced potential demolition. It had been out of community use for over a decade, however, local campaigners have been working hard towards saving it and make a case for it to be eligible as a Community Asset Transfer. It is believed to be one of only six bandstands built in England in the 'shell type' style and the last one now remaining. The bandstand in Centre Vale Park is pictured with Hebden Bridge Band players Ian Coleman and his son Harry
