Fairey and Whitburn collaborate for Scottish Workshop

Fairey and Whitburn will join forces on 30th November for a concert at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Edinburgh at 3pm. Prior to the concert Young Brass and Percussion players from across Scotland are invited to join principal players from both bands for a workshop.
 
The workshop is supported by the Scottish Brass Band Association and will commence at 10am at the Whitburn Band Hall. The participants will prepare a number of pieces throughout the morning, including working within sections and full band rehearsals with Fairey MD, Garry Cutt, leading to a performance alongside Fairey and Whitburn in massed band items at the end of the afternoon concert.
 
Commenting on the event Garry said, "I'm really looking forward to bringing Fairey Band north of the border. The concert is going to be great and the workshop will offer young players an opportunity to pick up tips and advice and learn from some wonderful players."
