Foden’s welcomes Grace Jeffers

Foden's are pleased to announce the appointment of Grace Jeffers on 1st Horn. Grace was a member of the National Children's band for five years with two on them being on Solo Horn. Following this she became a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain where she completed six courses with two of them being on Solo Horn. As well as being a member of National Youth organisations Grace spent fourteen years with the Pemberton Organisation with the past four years being on Solo Horn. 
 
Foden's wish to thank outgoing 1st Horn player Nat Martin who left the band in July to concentrate on his final year studies at the RNCM. Thanks also go to Neil Blessett (Solo Horn with the Birmingham Citadel Band) who provided cover following Nat's departure up to the National Finals.
 
Speaking about the changes Mark Wilkinson commented, “Everyone at Foden's would like to thank Nat for his time with the band and wish him all the very best in his final year at the RNCM and future endeavours. We would also like to say a special thank you to Neil who has been a great asset to the band during this period.”
 
Solo horn Jonathan Bates stated, “I am extremely pleased that Grace has accepted our offer to join Foden's. She is without doubt a very exciting prospect who is already considered one of the leading Horn players in the country and will be a great addition to the section.”
 
Speaking on her appointment Grace commented “I have enjoyed many years with Pemberton and thank them all for the help and support that they have given me over the years. However, I am really looking forward to joining Foden's and cannot wait to start the new challenge. I am also excited to compete in the 2020 European championships in Lithuania.”
