Sit in and Play at NYBBW
Following the success of last years 'Sit in and Play day', the National Youth Brass Band of Wales is pleased to announce entries are open for 2019. Commenting on the event a spokesperson from the organisation said, “We would encourage any young brass or percussion players to sign up and be part of this special initiative which will be led by Philip Harper.BOOK YOUR PLACE NOW!”
The NYBBW, its conductor Philip Harper (Cory Band) and Tenor Horn star Sheona White (Brighouse and Rastrick and YBS Bands) invite ALL young brass band enthusiasts to attend fun, interactive workshops at this summer’s NYBBW concert venues listed below.
26th July – Aberystwyth Arts Centre
27th July – Canolfan Beaumaris
28th July Dora Stoutzker, RWCMD
Participants will get the chance to sit alongside NYBBW members and both rehearse with the full band under the baton of Philip Harper, as well as performing in the public concert.
The workshop is £5 and includes a free child’s ticket to the evening performance. Participants should be grade 3 or above, aged 10-18. The workshop will be a truly unique experience and a fantastic taster of what it is like o represent your country in this excellent Band.
