New MD for Unite the Union

Unite the Union Band has announced the appointment of John Davis as their new Musical Director. John is an experienced conductor having enjoyed success with Riddings, Dronfield Genquip and Foresters Band. John has already led the band on the contest and concert platform and is looking forward to “getting stuck in.” John continued, "I'm absolutely thrilled to have been offered the role with Unite, a band that I've both admired and worked with a number of times over the years. They have a number of prestigious engagements to look forward to and a fantastic work ethic.”
 
Commneting on the appointment a spokesperson for the band stated, “we thoroughly enjoyed working with John for the Spring Festival and found his musicality, enthusiasm and hard work to be second to none. We were thrilled when John expressed his interest to work us on a permanent basis and we are all very excited to see what the future holds."
