BBE postpones this weekend’s training courses

Brass Bands England regret to announce that, due to very unfortunate and unforeseen family matters affecting two staff members this week, we must postpone the Better Banding workshops, due to take place at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on Sunday 9 June.

BBE Partnership and development Manager, Alex Parker, commented: “Unfortunately this perfect storm for our staff, particularly those with the relevant training and qualifications, has meant we are simply unable to present this weekend’s training. I know many people were as excited about the weekend as we were, but we have explained the situation to nearly all who signed up and they have been very understanding. We would especially like to thank the staff and management of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, as well as Paul Cosh and Roger Webster, for making the necessary adjustments to their schedules and for being so understanding in these circumstances. Finally, we would like to send our thoughts and best wishes to our staff members and let them know that they have BBE’s full support in these difficult times.”

Next week BBE will announce a new set of dates for the BandSafe training across the country, so those missing the Birmingham session will still have opportunities to attend. There will also be new dates for workshops with Paul Cosh and Roger Webster, with venues and dates to be confirmed soon.
