Dan Price world premiere will support East Lancashire Hospice

A concert featuring Brighouse & Rastrick, the 2nd Rossendale Scout Group Band and the Rossendale Male Voice Choir will feature a World premiere performance from the pen of Dan Price. The concert will take place at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester on Friday 7thJune, with proceeds from the event going to support the East Lancashire Hospice.

Graham Helm, Conductor of 2nd Rossendale Scout Group Band, commissioned composer Dan Price to write 'The Lamplighter'. The piece takes its inspiration from three poems about transitioning from life into death. The project is close to Graham’s own heart, as he has been a supporter of East Lancashire Hospice since his wife Paula died in 2014. Paula, a former teacher battled pancreatic cancer and spent her final days there under the expert care. Graham has since helped to raise thousands of pounds for charity in her memory and in particular the hospice, with the Scout Group Band regularly playing for patients and visitors at events.

Tickets for the event are priced from £17.50 - £22.50 and are available via the following link: Tickets
