A4 Brass Quartet Announces 2019 Composition Competition Finalists

A4 Brass Quartet have announced the seven shortlisted finalists for their Composition Competition. A spokesperson for the group stated: “After a thoroughly enjoyable voting process, and receiving a wide range of entries from all parts of the world, we are delighted to be able to announce the finalists for our 2019 Composition Competition. Our many congratulations to them all.”

Don Young – ‘A Da Vinci Portrait’
Kev Darby – ‘Sea of Tranquility’
Marketa Conkova – ‘Moonlight Echoes’
Paul Saggers – ‘The Eagle Has Landed’
Torin Christopherson – ‘Leonardo at Work’
 
The finalists will now progress to a final round; this will be judged in co-operation with internationally renowned composer and tutor Gary Carpenter and well respected editor, conductor, publisher and director Paul Hindmarsh.
