Foden's and Matt Ford announce tour dates
On Saturday 23rd March Foden's will perform the first of six concerts with singer Matt Ford at the Hafren Theatre, Powys entitled 'Salute to Sinatra and the Swing Legends.'
Matt is regarded as one of the finest big band singers in the UK, previously being voted best UK Male Big Band Vocalist, and nominated alongside Jamie Cullum in the inaugural Ronnie Scott's Jazz Awards. Matthew makes regular appearances with the John Wilson Orchestra, BBC Big Band and performed for five years with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra.
Speaking about Saturday's concert and the show Mark Wilkinson commented 'Foden's are looking forward to once again returning to the Hafren Theatre in a self promotional concert. Due to the success of the partnership with Matt we have decided to take the show on the road with appearances on the Wirral, Lytham St Annes, Bolton, Altrincham and Macclesfield.
The show features a number of the bands fantastic soloists as well as arrangements including ‘I've Got You Under My Skin’, ‘Fly me to the Moon’, ‘Mack the Knife’, ‘My Way’, ‘New York New York’and many more.
