UniBrass seeking 2021 and 2022 Hosts

Since the inaugural UniBrass Championships in 2011 at Lancaster University, the event has run successfully in a number of venues, including the Universities of Warwick, York and Bangor. The UniBrass Foundation, the charity responsible for overseeing the contest, is interested in hearing from any university which has an interest in hosting UniBrass in 2021 and 2022.

The University of Bangor organising committee chair, Sam Hartharn-Evans stated, "Hosting UniBrass is a very rewarding experience. It's hard work but at the end of the day you've run an event which will have been enjoyed by well over 1000 people and have provided a focal point for university brass bands from across the UK. Putting in a bid is simple and you'll be fully supported along the process."

Andy Straiton, UniBrass Foundation Chair added, "Moving the contest every couple of years helps us to bring fresh ideas, including the Gala Concert and Youth Band initiatives. It also allows a range of universities to host this prestigious event and help spread the contest across the country."

Any universities interested in hosting UniBrass are asked to fill in this expression of interest form: www.unib.co.uk/host
