Twice the TV Festive fun for Oldham (Lees)

Oldham Band (Lees), the current First Section National Champions will be making two separate TV appearances on Christmas Day this year.

The band’s first appearance will be on BBC 1 at 10am when a small group will provide live carols at Oldham Parish Church. Later on the same day the band will appear on ITV during an episode of the much loved soap, Coronation Street.

Commenting on the appearances M.D. John Collins said, "It's a great way to end a great year. The BBC asked if we could provide an ensemble on Christmas Day, and as we have a great relationship with the church where we have held rehearsals before big contests, we were delighted to say yes."

Having made a previous appearance on ‘Corrie’ a few years ago the band and M.D. were delighted to pre-record another appearance for this year’s Christmas episode. John stated, “I can't think of too many bands that will be heard in the living rooms of millions of homes not once but twice on Christmas Day."
