A4 Brass Quartet become Honorary Associate Artists of the RNCM

In recognition of A4 Brass Quartet’s significant achievements in the music profession since graduating from the College, they have been appointed as Honoary Associate Artists of the Royal Northern College of Music.
 
This new ambassadorial role will now see ensemble members Jamie Smith, Jonathan Bates, Michael Cavanagh and Chris Robertson play an active part in promoting and supporting the strategic initiatives of the RNCM. The group are in distinguished company with current Honorary Associate Artists including: Alexandra Dariescu (piano, 2008), Tom Harrold (composition, 2015), Mikhail Nemtsov (cello, 2015), Kathryn Rudge (mezzo-soprano, 2011) and Le Yu (percussion, 2014).
 
Commenting on their new role a spokesperson for the group stated, “We are thrilled to have accepted an invitation from the Principal of the RNCM, Professor Linda Merrick, to become Honorary Associate Artists of the Royal Northern College of Music. What an honour.”
