British Open Championships 2018
The names of the 19 competing bands at this year’s British Open Championships has been released by the organisers. The 166th contest will be held at Symphony Hall, Birmingham on Saturday 8th September and is already a ‘sell out’.
Britain’s best, Eikanger-Bjorsvik Musikklag from Norway and defending champion Valasia from Switzerland will perform the set work 'A Brussels Requiem' by Belgian composer Bert Appermont. The draw for order of play will take place at 8.45am with the first band taking to the stage at 10.00am. The three judges will, as always, be announced on the day itself, and competing bands are reminded to ensure the appropriate registration details for the contest are in order.
