EBBA delegation gives Palanga the thumbs up
On Saturday 19 May a delegation from EBBA visited Palanga to listen to Brass Band Willebroek in concert in the Palanga Concert Hall, the proposed venue to host the European Brass Band Championships in 2020.
A statement from EBBA outlines, "The delegation presented positive feedback on the impact of the acoustic shell solution on the stage in ‘Palanga Konsert Sale’. Under the given circumstances and with the other improvements to the Palanga Concert Hall and facilities, the EBBA Executive Committee now believes that Palanga will be able to host the world’s most prestigious brass band contest in 2020. This will be their recommendation to the EBBA General Meeting later this year."
