IBBSS Gala Concert finale details announced
Cory principal cornet Tom Hutchinson will feature alongside Black Dyke solo euphonium Daniel Thomas in the International Brass Band Summer School end of course Gala Concert held at Swansea University on Friday 3rd August.
In addition to star soloists the concert will feature programmes by the Sovereign and Prestige Bands as well as massed band items including music by John Philip Sousa, Gordon Langford and Tchaikovsky. An IBBSS spokesperson commented: "The free end of course Gala Concert is always popular with the local community and band enthusiasts. It always has a wonderful atmosphere, which everyone enjoys - and it's followed of course by the now legendary end of course party!"
The organisers added: "We would like to take the opportunity to thank our principal partner Besson, as well as the continued support from World of Brass, Rath Trombones, Band Supplies, Geneva, Sterling, Kapitol Promotions, British Bandsman, SHB Hire and GK Design."
