Continued success for A4 Brass Quartet

On Tuesday 20th March A4 Brass Quartet added another huge accolade to the already bulging trophy cabinet by winning the Royal Over-Seas League mixed ensembles class final.  The members of A4; Jamie Smith, Jonathan Bates, Michael Cavanagh and Chris Robertson are delighted by the win. Not only do the group receive prize money of £10,000, but it is also a huge honour to be recognised by such a prestigious organisation as the Royal Overseas League. The Royal Overseas League awards four solo prizes and two ensemble awards; A4 were successful in the Ensembles B category for wind, percussion, vocal or mixed ensembles.

The ROSL offers many performance opportunities to prizewinners after the competition at major venues such as Wigmore Hall in London and has established relationships with many UK festivals including Brighton, Kings Lynn, Lake District Summer Music, and North Norfolk. ROSL ARTS award-winning series of chamber music concerts at Over-Seas House Edinburgh is a well-established fixture of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In recent years ROSL ARTS has organised concerts and tours for prizewinners in Australia, Canada, Malta, New Zealand, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe.
