Open Rehearsals in Yorkshire 

The reigning National Champion, Brighouse & Rastrick Band and reigning Yorkshire Champion, Black Dyke Band will host their open rehearsals on the set-work, 'Odyssey' ahead of the Yorkshire Regional Championships. The band has already experienced success with this piece when they won the set-work half of the European Championships in Munich, 1999. 

Conducted by Prof David King, B&R's rehearsal will take place on Tuesday 27th February at the Central Methodist Church in Brighouse (HD6 1AQ). Doors open at 7.30pm for a prompt 8.00pm start. 

Black Dyke's rehearsal will take place at Morley Town Hall later in the week on Friday 2nd March, under the direction of Director of Music, Prof Nicholas Childs. They will also showcase the set-work, 'Odyssey' by Kevin Norbury, as they prepare to defend their Regional title this year.  

The open rehearsal will commence at 8.00pm at Morley Town Hall, Queen St, Morley, Leeds (LS27 9DY). Admission is free and doors open at 7.30pm.
