More march and hymn tune entries needed at Morley

The popular Morley March & Hymn Tune Contest will be held for the 12th time in Morley, West Yorkshire on Sunday 17th June, with entries now needed from bands wishing to compete in the event.

The format of the contest comprises a road march, followed by each band playing three verses of a hymn tune and concluding their programme with a contest march in a special band area.

The contest is open to all bands from Championship Section to Youth, and all music chosen is own-choice. The contest is one of the most popular of its kind with the proceeds from the contest going to the Morley & District Lions. It continues to have the full support of the Mayor of Morley and the Morley Community Development Committee

Bands wishing to compete should contact: geoff.fowler@totalise.co.uk or call 0113 253 0719.
