In BBW’s extensive Brass Education focus this month, Christopher Turner - a well-respected brass educator, who has been coaching students through Trinity College London’s grade exams for the last decade - lends insight about the benefits of the Trinity examination process

I have used the Trinity Exam Board since 1998 and believe Trinity’s brass exams develop a confident, creative and skilled musician. Through a structured syllabus, a teacher is able to nurture talent, evaluating a student’s progress through key benchmarks charting development as an instrumentalist.

For over a decade, I have taught for Gwent Music, for which Trinity has always provided brass specialist examiners for our exam sessions.
