British press fanfares Smith-Watkins
A renovated cowshed in the middle of North Yorkshire, deep in the Howardian Hills, was the unlikely venue for a frenzy of national media interest in the bespoke instrument Company, Smith-Watkins. Nicola Bland discovered what all the excitement was about!
Smith-Watkins has just completed five of a very special commission of 20 fanfare trumpets for the Ministry of Defence to use at royal and state occasions, which the Company’s MD, Richard Smith, together with his technician, Richard Wright, are hoping will be heard at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s May wedding.
