Historic creative merger in Birmingham

Birmingham Conservatoire and Birmingham School of Acting - both schools of Birmingham City University, are to unite to create a

multi-disciplinary conservatoire that will enable broader, creative collaborative opportunities and provide a world-class centre for developing the next generation of performers, ready to meet the demands of today’s fast-paced creative economy.

The integration of the two institutions coincides with the opening of a new £57 million home for the current Birmingham Conservatoire on the University’s City Centre Campus, just metres from the current Birmingham School of Acting, and Birmingham City University’s media and recording facilities.
